1. About VK Radio Trader
VK Radio Trader ("the Platform", "we", "us", "our") is a classified advertisements platform operated by VK Radio Trader (ABN: [TO BE CONFIRMED]), based in New South Wales, Australia.
VK Radio Trader provides an online notice board service that allows registered users to post and respond to classified advertisements for amateur radio equipment and related items.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using VK Radio Trader you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the Platform.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. The current version number and date are shown at the top of this page.
3. Eligibility
To register an account on VK Radio Trader you must:
- Hold a valid Australian amateur radio qualification issued or recognised by the ACMA
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Provide accurate and truthful registration information
- Not have been previously banned or suspended from the Platform
By registering you confirm that you meet these eligibility requirements. We reserve the right to verify your eligibility at any time and to suspend or terminate accounts that do not meet these requirements.
4. Notice Board Platform — Not a Party to Transactions
VK Radio Trader is a notice board platform only. We connect buyers and sellers but we are not a party to any transaction between users.
We do not:
- Buy, sell, or hold any goods listed on the Platform
- Handle, process or facilitate payments between buyers and sellers
- Verify the accuracy, quality, safety or legality of any listing
- Guarantee that a buyer or seller will complete a transaction
- Provide any warranty or guarantee in relation to listed items
All transactions are conducted directly between the buyer and seller. You transact at your own risk.
5. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@vkradiotrader.com.au if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
You may only hold one account on the Platform. Creating multiple accounts is prohibited.
You must keep your account information accurate and up to date, including your VK callsign.
6. Listings
When posting a listing you agree that:
- All information in the listing is accurate, truthful and not misleading
- You own the item or are authorised to sell it
- The item is legal to sell in Australia
- You will honour the listing if a buyer accepts your terms
- You will remove or update the listing if the item is sold or no longer available
We reserve the right to remove any listing at our sole discretion without notice, including listings that we consider to be misleading, fraudulent, offensive, or in breach of these terms.
7. Prohibited Items & Content
The following are prohibited on VK Radio Trader:
- Items that are illegal to sell or possess in Australia
- Radio transmitters not type-approved for use in Australia
- Stolen goods or items obtained illegally
- Misleading, fraudulent or deceptive listings
- Offensive, defamatory or discriminatory content
- Spam, duplicate or irrelevant listings
- Personal information of third parties without their consent
8. Callsign Verification
Callsign verification is optional but strongly encouraged. Verified users receive a badge displayed on their profile and listings.
Documents submitted for callsign verification are stored securely and used solely for the purpose of verifying your amateur radio qualification. We do not share these documents with third parties.
We reserve the right to revoke verified status if we determine that incorrect or fraudulent information was provided.
9. Fees & Payments
Basic listings on VK Radio Trader are free. Optional paid features include listing boosts, featured placement, and premium accounts.
All fees are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of GST where applicable. Payments are processed securely through Stripe.
Fees for listing boosts and featured placements are non-refundable once the service has been activated. If there was a technical issue preventing delivery of the service, please contact us within 48 hours.
We are not responsible for any fees charged by your bank or payment provider in connection with transactions on the Platform.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VK Radio Trader and its operators exclude all liability for:
- Any loss or damage arising from transactions between users
- The accuracy, completeness or reliability of any listing
- Any loss of data, revenue, profit or opportunity
- Indirect, consequential, special or punitive damages of any kind
Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid to us in the 12 months prior to the claim.
11. Intellectual Property
The VK Radio Trader name, logo, design and platform content are owned by VK Radio Trader and protected by Australian intellectual property laws.
By posting content on the Platform (including listing descriptions and photos), you grant VK Radio Trader a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content on the Platform for the purpose of operating the service.
12. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for information on how we collect, use and protect your personal information.
13. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales for any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the Platform.
